"It's like sitting down with Jesus."

B. E. Filley, Dunamis Publishing, Issaquah, WA

So many people have warped impressions of Jesus They have Him as still a babe in the manager, or left perpetually hanging on the cross. But George Pettingell introduces you to the very real Jesus, who wants more than anything else to walk with us, and be included in every facet of our daily lives. Through his book, George helps the reader see that Jesus is not some distant mysterious untouchable being, but as one who lived life as a real human man, with the same abilities to laugh and cry, feel joy and pain, that we all feel.

By using his comfortable conversational style, Pettingell covers dozens of topics to help understand and simplify points and stories in the Bible. There is nothing stuffy or "preachy" about it. The book makes you feel like pulling up a cup of coffee and including yourself in the conversation. No subjects are off limits, and by book's end, you feel like you have just spent an afternoon with a new best friend (because you really have!). It leaves you sorry that it ended, and yearning for a repeat visit.

This would be a wonderful gift book for someone who drops the name of Jesus occasionally, but doesn't really know him. (They will by the time they finish the book). It would also be great book for a Christian who just wants to know Jesus better, or who wants a closer walk. It asks the same questions you would ask Jesus, Himself, if you were to sit down for a talk with Him.

The thing I love best about the book is the way it opens your mind to new insights about Jesus' perspectives on so many subjects. Days after reading it, I find myself still thinking about new points of view that the author caused me to consider. I loved it!

The interview we all dream of having!

Candance D. Gurney, Kent, WA

George has written the interview we all dream of having. He asks questions we all have, along with Biblically sound answers. It is quite apparent that the Holy Spirit inspired George throughout this entire book! You, too, will find yourself asking questions and thoughts being evoked at a depth you may never thought you'd go. It's a quick read...or not, depending on how you ponder over the meat within not only the answers, but the questions as well. A very relevant book for such a time as this.

I also HIGHLY recommend the accompanying study guide that Karen Pettingell wrote to enhance this interview. You just may find the interviewee will be interviewing YOU! Or, you may find yourself dancing....

A one-of-a-kind book

Midwest Book Review, Oregon, WI

Written by radio interviewer George W. Pettingell, Teach Me, Lord, to Dance: An Interview with Jesus is one-of-a-kind book it relates a conversation with Jesus Christ. Christ's words flow fluidly in Modern English, yet His message as presented is drawn directly from Scriptural texts; the specific texts are cited at the close of the compendium. In the process of reading Christ's reconstructed and interpreted words, the reader is sure to be uplifted by the humility, majesty, sacrifice, and love of the Savior. Highly recommended.

Enough grace

Charles E. Worthy, Worthy Music Ministries, Gig Harbor, WA

Like most modern Christians, I have read many of the wonderful books on Christ. There is a mountain of teaching material on His power, might, dominion, reign and glory, and this is a good thing. George Pettingell's book, Teach Me, Lord, to Dance, helps us look at Jesus Christ as «God Made in the Flesh.» It is like being transported back to that time when Christ walked the earth. We are there with Him, walking with Him, talking to Him. He is listening to us and His responses are clear, in plain language and easy to understand. These are the things that make this book revolutionary.

The Grace, Mercy and humanness of Christ flow out of the dialog like cool water from a bottomless well. His claim to the Throne of Heaven is made early, often, and without reservation. The different aspects of Christ (God, Man, Savior, Creator and Judge) are brought out in clear, simple, and plain language, so much so that it is at times shocking. The most amazing portrayal here is of Christ's grace, because if there is enough grace for Christ to submit to this interview, there is surely enough grace for you and me.

Thank you...

Bev Fowler, Editor and founder of B Write Writing Workshops

Thank you for the opportunity to work on your manuscript. I have laughed, gotten chills, learned new perspectives, found myself weeping, been convicted, and been right in the middle of this conversation. At times it was hard to remember I was editing. I cannot wait to celebrate with you and with the Lord when this book is in print and in the hands of so many people who will be blessed by it.

An honest conversation with Jesus

Nancy Pieper, Seattle, WA

Sit back, relax, and have an honest in-depth conversation with Jesus. This interview is modern and asks up-to-date questions, with answers just as current, yet based on age- old Bible references. All references for Jesus' replies are listed in the back of the book, and also make for very interesting reading. So whether you're a long time friend of Jesus, or curious to know more about Him, this is a great book.

This is truly a book that will change you

N. W. Smith, London, England

[George, thank you for allowing me to read and review your book. It is outstanding and one of the best I have read in a long time. It truly presents credible information that is sound in scholarship, but also interesting and motivational to the general public, with a desire to translate the dry, academic pursuit of Biblical truth into a medium which is interesting, motivational and relevant for all.]

Sit back and get ready for one of the greatest conversations ever, as if you're sitting right there in the room with George and Jesus. The questions are relevant and the answers are in layman's language, modern and based on age-old Bible references. This presentation really brings to life the Bible stories. This is a book written for the novice to the expert. It is one you won't put down until the end and then it will open your mind and thoughts to a modern perspective about the Bible. I love this book. Thanks George.

If you interviewed Jesus, what would you ask? And what would he answer?

Sofia Steryo-Bartmus, CA

[George Just wanted to let you know that I am half-way through your book and I am enjoying it very much. It is a great book for both Christians as well as non-Christians. You have managed to write it in such a non-threatening way.]

George Pettingell has done a thorough job in introducing to us who Jesus is. He makes Jesus come alive as you turn each page, as if you were sitting there with him asking the question. In this unique interviewing style Jesus gives us answers from the easiest to the most uncomfortable questions. This book is great for believers in Christ, old and new, who still have many unanswered questions, as well as for non-believers, those who are seeking and those who are trying to disprove Christ.

Although the answers are mostly based on Scripture and Bible stories, they are written in a simple, current and easy to understand language. I enjoyed the book very much. I found it interesting, informative and thought provoking. What if Jesus is who He says He is? What are we to do next?

If you have never had a personal relationship with Jesus, you certainly will want to have one by the time you finish this book. Teach Me, Lord, to Dance is a timeless reference book for everyone's library (including the reference material in the back of the book for future study.)

Teach Me, Lord to Dance

Yvonne Phillips, Pittsburgh, PA

I loved this book. It made me feel so good when I read it. It clearly reminded me of the book Joshua that I have liked forever. It asks questions and gives answers that are easy to understand and helpful in keeping your faith. I would highly recommend this book to add to your library.
